Not sure if Geographic region it was designated for can be changed. Call Autel Support in your geographic region first with the unit's serial number and register password for instructions. If it is out of out of update period you will be required to buy an update to change geographic region,  language,  and register unit in your name. DO NOT DO A FACTORY RESET if you are out of update period unless you purchased an update and can re-download all the software again, it will loose all the software and backup software won't be authorized to access
